Overall responsibility for training and development, morale, and associate retention.
Create team atmosphere and ensure effective and open communication among all account team members.
Oversees day-to-day client activities as needed. Manages and communicates the following information to clients and departments as required: strategic program plans/briefs, creative briefs, media and list plans, program schedules, mailing and test matrices, budgets and estimates, hot sheets, data processing instructions, web and database instructions, production specifications and estimates.
Recommend account team staffing as needed based on client requirements. 

 
Primary client relationship builder and strategic leader.
 

Manages account development and retention in partnership with the Account Supervisor and/or Account Executive.
Support the development of new relationships at increasingly senior levels within the client organization, in partnership with the EVP.
Proactively partners with the client to help grow the client’s overall business.
Supports the creative process by providing effective creative briefs, support information and constructive comments to the creative team.
Works in partnership with the EVP in strategic planning initiatives for client(s).
Proactively develops marketing solutions including acquisition, retention, and reactivation initiatives across different media channels and customer segments.
Tracks and analyzes results, draws conclusions and makes strategic recommendations.
Guides creative strategy and evaluates creative product to ensure it meets objectives.

 
 
 
Works in partnership with the sales team to develop agency and client revenue goals.
 

Holds financial accountability for client revenue within Account team.
Oversees and reviews revenue forecasts and reports to EVP.
Support the sales and business development team in new business efforts, helping to develop presentations and proposals including strategic review and top level results.

Participates in responses to RFPs and RFQs to support new business growth
Attends client presentations as requested by Sales 

 
Maintains SOPs and quality control procedures for all processes within the account team.
 

Establishes checks and uniform procedures to help eliminate errors.

Provides leadership, work direction and mentoring to account team members. Carries out all leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and all applicable laws.  Responsibilities primarily include assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work. Some involvement in performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and problems. 
 
 
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in Marketing or related major; or 8-10 years direct marketing related experience in a client services role and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent people skills required. Self starter, customer focused, team player.
